Phytogenic Fabrication of Copper Oxide Nanoparticles for Antibacterial and Antioxidant Screening: Physico-Chemical Study

Bergenia ciliata (B. ciliate) leaf extract was used as a capping and stabilizing agent to synthesize copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs). The selection of B. ciliate is purely based on its rich phytochemical composition less utilization in green chemistry. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that the CuO NPs were found be highly crystalline, while irregular morphology other structural properties investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) transmission (TEM), average particle size 50.05 nm. Energy dispersive (EDX) spectroscopy determine percentage purity, whereas Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) utilized examine surface functional groups. tested for their antibacterial against Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria, activity increase with an increasing concentration wells. dose-dependent antioxidant potential slightly higher than ascorbic acid.
